Nwangwu noted that Anambra FA has in the last 11 years enjoyed the support of Emenike who is the Chief Executive Officer of Neros Pharmaceuticals. Emenike also owns a private stadium facility in his Nanka country home.
“Emenike has shown that he genuinely love football with his sponsorship of the Anambra FA Cup for 11 years. He deserves a pat on the back for helping the game to grow at the grassroots level,” Nwangwu said.
Meanwhile, all roads would mid week lead to the Nanka Stadium when defending champions FC Ifeanyiubah do battle with NNL side Nnewi United in round two. Nnewi United who were not seeded in the competition had in round one defeated Kings FC of Ihiala by a lone goal to set up the clash against FC Ifeanyiubah.
The Anambra FA is said to be doing everything possible to ensure the FC Ifeanyiubah, Nnewi United clash is hitch free.
“It is a high profile match, but the FA is on top of the situation to ensure everything go well,” Nwangwu said.
