Another traditional ruler, Bayero, dies in Kano

Barely a week after the Emir of Rano died, another traditional ruler in Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Bayero has died. He was age  87.

Bayero it was learnt died in the early hours of Sunday at his Dawakin Kudu palace in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano State and has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Born in 1933, the actual cause of his death was not stated.
Until his death, the Late Alhaji Yusuf Bayero was the Dan Iya Kano and the District Head of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of the state.
The deceased, who was appointed to the position of Dan Iya Kano in 1993, was a younger brother to the former Emir of Kano, the Late Alhaji Ado Bayero
The deceased attended the Kofar Kudu Elementary School and the Kano Judicial School. He was later a scribe in the Kano Native Authority and had served in the sub scribe District offices of the state.
