BREAKING: Anambra Guber: Obiano wins landslide

The incumbent governor of Anambra State an candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance  (APGA) in the Saturday November 18, 2017 election, Willie Obiano has won the election with a landslide.

Declaring the result on Sunday evening in Awka, the Chief Returning Officer of the the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Zana Akpagu, said the incumbent governor won majority vote in all the 21 local government areas of the state.

Obiano  defeated Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oseloka Obaze of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Osita Chidoka of United Progressive Party (UPP), who were the front runners in the keenly contested elections with a total vote of 284,071 votes.

Tony Nwoye of the APC garnered 98,752 to come second while the PDP candidate Obaze Oseloka scored 70, 293 votes to finish third.
