ISFU delegates storm Lagos today

The Director General of International Student Football Union (ISFU) Dr. Andrey Stukalov, will lead a delegation of ISFU to Lagos this Thursday October 18, 2018 on a three (3) day working visit to Africa to assess the continent’s readiness for the 2018 Universities league.
The visit which will herald the 2018- 2019 season of the International Student Football League (ISFL) will also witness the unveiling of the Africa Student Football Union (ASFU) brand.
Nigeria’s experienced Sports Psychologist and Administrator Prof. Seun Omotayo who was appointed African Coordinator to establish the Africa footprint with its Africa Headquarters in Nigeria will be part of the delegation to Nigeria.
The ISFL league format which has received World Football governing body’s (FIFA) recognition with the successful completion of the maiden Student Football League in Russia led to the formation of the World Student Football league during the just concluded 2018 World Cup hosted by the Russian Football Federation.
The 2018-2019 season which will feature Sixteen (16) Universities across the world will be played in a league format.
To maximize opportunities presented by the ISFU delegation’s working visit to Africa, series of activities have been planned to promote the league.
An international workshop for African Universities Sports Directors and other key stakeholders capable of leveraging on the ISFL impact on the development of the Student Football League has been scheduled for Sunday at the Sports Cafe of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
The theme of the Workshop is ‘Breeding Student Football Champions, Techniques and Strategies to create World Class Student Footballers’ with a keynote presentation by Dr. Andrey Stukalov -President of the International Student Football Union (ISFU)
The Unveiling of the newly formed ASFU will have in attendance the Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission – Dr. Kweku Tandoh, supported by eminent personalities and other stakeholders in the Football business as well as corporate supporters of ASFU.
