Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe has thrown his weight behind the request of Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari to have the Flying Eagles play in Katsina.
Masari who hosted the Paul Aigbogun tutored side last week after a friendly against city landlords, Katsina United said he would want Flying Eagles to make Katsina their home.
Egbe while giving the soccer loving governor kudos, noted that Katsina has one of the best playing turfs in the country and as such has all it takes to host Flying Eagles matches.
“I m happy the governor is ready to host the team. Gov Masari deserves commendation for this patriotic offer. The NFF should consider this as the team begin their U 20 Nations Cup qualifiers. The pitch in Katsina which was constructed by Monimichelle is world class. Anybody doubting this can go and feel the turf,” Egbe said.
The FIFA match agent however urged Gov Masari to ensure the geotech pitch is properly maintained.
“Poor maintenance is the biggest challenge facing our pitches. Once a pitch is properly maintained then we can guarantee its being in good shape year round.”
