- Says his FA Cup feat a morale booster for Eagles
President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick has given a pat on the back to Chelsea wing back, Victor Moses over his last Sunday feat of joining the exclusive club of Nigerian internationals that have won the English FA Cup.
Moses, courtesy of Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the prestigious Wembley Stadium in the British FA Cup final became the sixth Nigerian to have kissed the diadem.
The other Nigerians that have won the shield are John Fashanu, Daniel Amokachi, Mikel Obi, Nwankwo Kanu and John Utaka.
Amaju while congratulating Moses noted that the FA Cup feat with Chelsea would motivate him to go all out in Russia to do Nigeria proud at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
“I m happy Moses has ended the season a winner in his club. Not many people gave the Blues a chance against Manchester United. I m confident Moses would take this winning mentality to Russia,” Amaju said.
Moses who is the reigning NFF player of the year, was Nigeria’s top scorer in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers with three goals which he scored in home matches against Algeria and Cameroon.
