Nigerians slam Garba Shehu over comments on Jonathan’s govt

Nigerians have slammed the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media, Garba Shehu, urging him to be sensitive to the situation of the suffering mass and stop dishing out “uninformed articles that are meant to rub salt to an open wound.”
Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, had called on Nigerians to direct their anger and frustrations against the economy in the right quarter
In a piece entitled: ‘What is President Buhari doing with the economy?’, Shehu attributed the poor situation of things to years of mismanagement and corruption.
In a facebook reaction to Shehu’s article accusing the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan of the rising dollar and economic hardship, respondents said for voting out PDP they had already directed their anger appropriately and have put Buhari in charge to fix the economy.
Indeed, Salisu Muhammad Gerawa, said, “It seems this government still don’t understand the problem of this nation, the CBN policy is the major problem that is contributing too much hardship to Nigerian, today the CBN would say this and tomorrow they will bring another policy and all it contribute to the highest inflation in the country.”
Also, Sule Musa said: “Nigerians already directed their anger at PDP by voting Buhari and you can if you may update them as constantly as possible what your government is doing to deliver on promises of a better life. Do not take it for granted that Nigerians will automatically share your frustrations.”
Another Nigerian who was identified as Ikenna Uwanuakwa said: “ I hate men who pour their ideals with lies “a single major infrastructural project in the last 10 years” – So the Rail road constructed commissioned was not an infrastructure, some substation and injection station build not inclusive?
Roads constructed not one of them? the more you pad your lies, the more you become irrelevant, you are comparing Kemi with Ngozi in terms of polices? Remember this words of Julius Ceasar in your next lie “It is not these well-fed long-haired men that I fear, but the pale and the hungry-looking.”
While commending Shehu for the piece, Usman Isah said, “When your neighbours are dying of hunger, there is a limit to the way you will preach corruption of the past Sir. I am not doubting anything you put here, but human beings are elastic, our desire to develop must be moderated by our elastic limits.”
In the article, Garba Shehu said says Nigerians are right to be disappointed on the state of the economy, but that they should direct their anger to the “right quarters”.
In a piece entitled: ‘What is President Buhari doing with the economy?’, Shehu attributed the poor situation of things to years of mismanagement and corruption.
He advised the people to “keep a fiery memory of the past” in order to avoid repeating mistakes.
“Nigerians are right to be disappointed but they must direct their anger at the right quarters. The bad management and corruption of the past are firmly to blame,” he wrote.
