The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Police has assured residents of the state of water-tight security as they celebrate the Muslim feast of Eid-el-Kabir.
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr. Samuel Adegbuyi,gave the assurance in Ibadan the state capital promising that the police will provide adequate security to ensure a hitch free Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
He said the command has ordered massive deployment of the Special Anti-Robbery police personnel, the Counter Terrorism Unit, the Swift Response Squad, Safer Highway Patrol, PMF, the Explosive Ordnance Department and others to embark on aggressive and purposeful patrol of all parts of the state.
The assurance was contained in his Sallah message to Muslim faithfuls in the state and circulated by the spokesman of the police in the state, Mr. Adekunle Ajisebutu, a Superintendent of Police.

Adegbuyi, however, warned criminals and other anti-social elements to abstain from their nefarious acts as the force would not hesitate the deal with them decisively.
While felicitating with the Muslim faithful on the Sallah celebration, he enjoined members of the public to go about their lawful duties without fear as adequate security measures have been put in place for their protection.
