Shekau mother speaks on Boko Haram, Buhari

Falmata Abubakar, the mother of the leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Abubakar Shekau was also not spared by the insurgents, who invaded the village the Shekau village, as she was forced to flee.Falmata made the revelation in an interview she granted the Voice of America ( VOA), saying she has not seen her son in 15 years.
In the interview Falmata the Voice of America (VOA), she said she had no knowledge if her son was dead or alive, she does not know also who Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari is.
Reports say, Falmata was forced to return to Shekau village after relocating from another town.
It was gathered that the woman, whose son is leading the insurgents has also been affected by the crisis created by her son.
It was learnt that Falmata was living in a nearby town called Babangida and Boko Haram attacked it and she was forced to flee and return to Shekau town.
In the interview, Ms Abubakar was also asked if she knew who the president of Nigeria. She said she does not.
But when asked, if she had ever heard of the name Muhammadu Buhari, she responded by saying ‘Oh, I think I’ve been hearing that name a few times.’
It was learnt that Falmata seemed to be feared by residents of her Shekau village, especially as some of the residents were afraid of associating with the woman.
