The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners) have hailed the gallant efforts of Lobi stars FC of Makurdi over their emergence as winners of the 2018 Super cup.
The Makurdi based side Tuesday night at the Stephen Keshi memorial stadium Asaba Delta state, south south Nigeria defeated high riding flying antelopes and cup holders Rangers international of Enugu 1-0 to emerge champions of the super cup.
Appraising the Lobi stars performances at the super cup , Club Owners said the feat achieved by the Benue state owned club is not unconnected with the determination , high level commitment of both the players and the technical crew as well as the managerial ability of the club management led by seasoned administrator Mr Mike Idoko.
The Association particularly praised the Benue state governor Samuel Ortom , the government and good people of Benue state for their support to Lobi stars despite the security and environmental challenges being faced by the state in recent time.
A statement by the Association jointly signed by the chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive Secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka charged the team to maintain the winning spirit and tempo as they represent the country as the sole candidate of Nigeria in the money spinning CAF champions league next year.
