Bayelsa State government said it has relaxed the lockdown imposed on the state to prevent the contract and spread of Coronavirus in the state to allow Christians in the state celebrate Easter .
A statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Daniel Alabrah said churches with large congregation to hold services with not more than 50 members at a time.
Similarly smaller churches are allowed to hold their service with only 20 members during period.
The statement posted on Alabrah facebook address said they churches must also observe the social distancing rule as well as provide running water and soap for washing of hands.
He pointed out that these measures are for the Easter celebrations only.
The statement also detailed the donations from corporate organisation for the COVID-19 for the state to include; UBA – N28.5m, NDDC – N100m, Sterling Bank – N100m and Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company – 300 bags of rice
