Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari returned to London after the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The president left the Millennium Tower Hotel in New York at about 8:00am and headed for JFK International Airport for the London trip.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, had last week stated that Buhari would transit through London on his way back to Nigeria from the UN General Assembly.
The Presidency did not disclose why Buhari was visiting London again having returned on August 19 after a medical vacation that spanned 103 days.
There was also no information about how long the president would stay in the United Kingdom this time.
The presidential spokesman said his principal’s appearance at the UN General Assembly was “worth the while” as it was beneficial to Nigeria.
Adesina noted that President Buhari held bilateral discussions with the various leaders on different areas of cooperation.
