No fewer than 15 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced a new figure of 248 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.
The number of deaths as a result of the coronavirus disease rose from 128 which was announced on Saturday night to 143 on Sunday night as the NCDC said that 15 more persons have died.
Also in the new figure release on Sunday night, the NCDC said Lagos has also recorded 81 new cases of Coronavirus disease while Jigawa has 35. Borno and Kano account for 26 new cases each, while Bauchi, FCT and Edo accounts for 20, 13 and 12 respectively.
Sokoto has 10 new cases, Zamfara, seven, Kwara four, Kebbi four, Gombe two, Taraba two, Ogun two and Ekiti two.
Osun and Bayelsa account for one each.
The new figure raised the total national figure from 4151 to 4399 while 778 person have been treated and discharged.
