COVID-19: Lagos asks civil servants to stay at home

 Lagos State government has asked civil servants from grade level 1-12 to stay at home for the next 14 days with effect from Monday March 23, 2020.

A tweet from the verified twitter handle of the Lagos State government gave no further details on the decision of the government, but it was learnt that it was because of the continue spread of the dreaded corona virus.

Following the spread of the global pandemic known as coronavirus, Lagos state government has ordered the shutdown of all private and public schools as a preventive measure.

The information which was disclosed in a tweet via the official Twitter handle of the state government noted that closure of schools takes effect from Monday, March 23.

According to the government, the precaution had become necessary to prevent children and teachers from getting more vulnerable to the pandemic.
