COVID-19: NCDC announces 148 new cases, 98 deaths

The figures continue mount, death toll continues unabated as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 148 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Of the 148 announced Lagos again emerged tops with 43 new cases, followed by Kano with  32 and Zamfara 14

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja has 10 new cases, Katsina 9, Taraba 7, Borno 6, Ogun 6, Oyo five, Edo three, Kaduna three, Bauchi three, Adamawa two, Gombe two, Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi one each.

The new cases announced by the NCDC has brought the total national figure of confirmed cases to 2950 while discharged persons rose to 481. Number of mortality as a result of coronavirus disease is 98.
