Enyimba FC of Aba are planning big on all fronts as they continue their quest for continental glory this term.
Club chairman, Felix Anyansi Agwu in a chat with NewsReporterng.com last week in Port Harcourt disclosed that the club would on their return home launch a new set of kits that is arriving the country any moment from now from Europe.
“We are going to launch our new kits when we stage a return back home in Aba. Our agent in Europe has confirmed that the kits are ready for shipment. When we take delivery of it, our fans will see us in brand new attires in Aba and what we have gone for is of quality. It is not China product,” Anyansi said.
The highly successful club chairman said the club would put everything into the CAF Confederation Cup campaign to win it for the country and as a way of saying thank you to Gov Okezie Ikpeazu who he noted has taken the club to the next level.
“As I said before, we have won virtually everything as a club in the last couple of years but we lack infrastructure. Gov Ikpeazu has turned things around for us in that area. We now boast of a stadium with the best playing turf in the country. Beyond the pitch, our stadium now has all the modern facilities that a modern arena should boast of. We would want to go all the way in the CAF Confederation Cup as a way of showing appreciation to Ikpeazu who has written his name not just in gold but in diamond,” Anyansi said.
Enyimba last week managed a 1-0 home victory over Ivorian side Williamsville to brighten their chances of making it out of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
