President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Melvin Pinnick has given a pat on the back to his first Vice President Barrister Seyi Akinwumi and one of the soccer federation’s corporate sponsors, Zenith Bank for the current success story of the Golden Eaglets.
Amaju who spoke over the weekend noted that Akinwumi has been so passionate about catching them young with his numerous youth development programs both for boys and girls.
“This present crop of Eaglets are products of the Future Eagles program. This is an Under 15 program which Seyi Akinwumi has driven and kudos must go to our sponsors Zenith bank for their corporate support. Today, we have a Golden Eaglets that we can beat our chest to say that they are truly the future of Nigerian football and Super Eagles of the future,” Amaju said.
It would be noted that Eaglets over the weekend qualified for the Tanzania 2019 AFCON U17 after beating Ghana 3-1 in a hard fought battle in Niamey. Amaju has assured that the kids would get quality preparations ahead of the tournament proper with a training tour of Qatar and Jordan on the card.
