The Muhammad Sani Kuta led electoral committee in a release this morning said the initial clearance given to Maigari has been substituted with “provisional clearance.”

The committee said it resorted to investigating the former NFF boss following two petitions against him, one of them written by fierce critic, Shuaibu Gara Gombe.
It is not clear if Maigari would eventually be disqualified or allowed to face incumbent Amaju Pinnick and Taiwo Ogunjobi at the polls billed for Katsina.
