Nigerian FIFA match agent, Ebi Egbe says he is not losing sleep over the two back to back defeats the SuperEagles suffered in the friendlies against England and Czech Republic before landing in Russia.
Egbe said everything points to Nigerians seeing a different Eagles when the chips are down in Russia.
The Eagles are billed to start their World Cup campaign against Croatia June 16 in the city of Kaliningrad.p
“The Eagles were jittery against England and against Czech Republic they did well despite going down. What happened in both games serve very well the whole essence of friendly games. Let’s wait and see what happens in Kaliningrad in our very first game. But, I m optimistic the boys will step up their game,” Egbe said.
The Bayelsa born soccer buff whose company Monimichelle is into stadium construction said Eagles have no reason not to perform in Russia given the atmosphere in camp and the very top notch preparations they had courtesy of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“For the first time we are having a team that is not in any way being distracted. For the first time, we are going into the World Cup fully prepared. So, I don’t see us failing. More importantly, we have a crop of young players that want to make a name for themselves.”
Egbe’s outfit Monimichelle is re constructing the Enyimba Stadium Aba. The company also did the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, the Katsina Stadium and the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.
